Eastern Motor Racing Association

For owners of All cars

Founded over 30 Years ago……..

The Eastern Motor Racing Association was formed by a committee of local sportscar clubs to provide a sanctioning body to sponsor the then growing interest in club racing. Since the early days, club racing and EMRA have seen tremendous growth and advancements. Taking a few cues (as well as providing some) from the SCCA, EMRA has become one of the premier sanctioning bodies in the Northeast. Our goal is to provide top competition, without sacrificing the enjoyment we take risks to achieve. We sanction Race and Time Trial Events………

A race weekend often includes a day of Sedan,GT & Formula Racing and a day of Time Trialing (our version of SCCA Solo I). Our class structure is similar to the SCCA’s but for a few exceptions. With EMRA, its not important that you have the hot car, new car, best car; but rather a car you want to drive. A good number of our racers have converted their daily rides into Race and High Performance Street machines . This is not to say we’re not competitive. Many of our drivers, are and have been successful with the SCCA, RCCA, and NARRC. With EMRA, its important to remember you’re racing and trialing for the FUN of it!! EMRA runs their events in the Northeast……..

and can be found during the season visiting such tracks as Pocono, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, and Summit Point. Typically EMRA will stay for the weekend when track scheduling will allow.

What's this?

If you're reading this, you've probably seen these odd links with funny names somewhere on the site and want to know what they're all about. Well, prepare to feel a bit more Net savvy. Those links are what the geeks call "social networks."

Social networking sites allow you to store and share links and pages across the Internet. It's like taking your bookmarks list and being able to see it from any computer.

Even better, social networks allow you to steer friends, relatives, colleagues and pretty much anyone else to the cool stuff you've found, so they have something better to do online than watching the skateboarding squirrel video on YouTube for the thirtieth time. You're making the world a better place.

The only catch is that while all the social networks are free, you do have to register. Each site has a slightly different focus, so take a look through the links and see which service suits you best.
