2012 Ultimate Track Car Challenge

The Ultimate Track Car Challenge will return to Virginia International Raceway on July 20, 2012. We’re bringing back the no-holds-barred format to see who brought the Ultimate Track Car to our annual showdown. There will only be one winner, but dozens of special trophies will be presented to competitors in different vehicle types. Stay tuned to see what the categories will be and who accepts the challenge!
Right now we’re in the process of building our list of UTCC hopefuls. If you’ve got a fast track car and a valid NASA Time Trial or equivalent license, and are interested in participating in the 2012 Ultimate Track Car Challenge, please contact debbie@grassrootsmotorsports.com for further instructions.
Last year’s overall winner was the awesome Riley MxXXII Track Day Car piloted by Tony Ave, who turned in a scorching fast 1:48.939 fast lap on the Virginia International Raceway Full Course. Trophies and contingency prizes were awarded throughout the nearly 80-car field, recognizing top finishes among V8s, turbocharged cars, street-legal machines, specific marques including BMW, Ford, Chevy, Porsche, Mitsubishi, Subaru and more.
