Grassroots Motorsports & Classic Motorsports Open House

The heavy rains held off just long enough for dozens of visitors to enjoy the Grassroots Motorsports/Classic Motorsports open house on June 27. About 30 minutes before the event’s official ending time, heavy rains rolled in from the west, sending everyone inside for cover.
The timing was rather a blessing in disguise, however, as the rains coincided with the planned handoff of the Triumph Stag that John Macartney is currently using for the Triumph Trans-AmeriCan Charity Drive 2009. The little kickoff ceremony took place in the magazine’s lobby, and John’s progress can be tracked at triumphtransamerica.org.uk.
If all goes according to plan, John and the Stag will be at the North American Triumph Challenge at Triumphest 2009 in San Luis Obispo, California, in September.
