FOR SALE: 1999 Dodge Neon Highline 4-Door Sedan 2.0L SOHC with Automatic Transmission ODO: 99K

  • Great car with excellent paint, body and interior

  • One-owner car, no accidents

  • New CA DMV Tags until March 2011

  • Does not run, camshaft position sensor fault code (I have been told this is a known issue with the Neon motor) but prior to this problem engine ran great

Because of the engine problem, I will sell the car for $1,000 OBO, you will need a trailer to pick up

The interior is in great shape so you can sell it to fund the new engine. For the full $1K amount, I can add a complete set of never-used sticky 14" tires.

Where are you located? Are you sure it is a cam, or crank sensor? Usually it is crank which causes a no-start.

Edit - Wait, CA. Whether it be either sensor, they are inexpensive to buy and easy to replace. Good deal for someone looking for a DD

You can unplug the cam sensor and the car will start and run, i'm going to vote for broken timing belt.
