Challenge Newbie budget question:

Say I buy parts for my challenge car at the auto parts store (in this case a battery and alternator) and I get $15 in rewards bucks from the auto parts store to use on a future purchase.  If I use the rewards bucks to buy $15 in part(s) for the car, do I have to claim this at $15 against my budget or is it "free" because the discount was earned buying other challenge car parts?  I don't know what I'm going to use the rewards bucks for yet, just trying to weigh the options. Thanks!

Sorry holidays means less time on the boards.

From the rules:

Rebates are considered a discount on a part’s purchase

If rewards bucks are considered the same as rebates that makes it straightforward enough.  Thanks.
