THIS car

From the Ad

Had some unforeseen circumstances pop up and I'd like to get rid of this thing before the end of the year. Ran a whole season of SpecFit without any issues. This is by no means a clean daily driver, and is best suited for being a beginner’s HPDE, track rat, or project. The car has over 373k miles on it so it has it's fair share of dents, dings and scratches. Originally from out of state so there isn’t much rust, apart from a spot on one of the rocker panels and a spot on the driver’s side of the floorpan. CLEAN MICHIGAN TITLE! No REASONABLE offer refused.

It's a freaking bargain, but I don't want a track car without AC. Also, other than GL, where do you run this where you're anything other than a rolling chicane? I think every track day should have a full session of cars this speed, but they don't.

Funny that in the GridLife graphic all the cars look dwarfed, except for the Fits (which I guess are already dwarfed.)

That’s real close to me if anyone wants eyes on or help getting/storing until pickup.

(I’d be inclined to buy it for myself but I already have a Neon and an Escort waiting for attention.)

If that had a lemons/champ legal cage in it I'd be in trouble.

That rig is a cheap ghetto engine swap away from total domination.

Looks to be an outstanding deal.

Basically, an entry level spec time attack series, controlled by a power to weight parameter. It could be entertaining. Events at Mid-O, Gingerman , Autobahn and Bowling Green are all within reasonable driving distance of SE Michigan.

to be clear, it's no longer legal for Spec Fit as it is now.

Spec Fit doesn't allow weight reduction like has been done on this car.

Part of why I didn't move forward on this myself was the lack of AC. I could work around the radio not being there, but the airbags being pulled also concerned me.

I personally would have want another Fit as a street car and track car backup. and this has gone too far for me to be a street car in TX.

But the price and conditionas a gutted track car are PERFECT for a Challenge build.

this car can use the Hondata flashpro for tuning which is budget exempt in the challenge rules. so if someone can find and install a Chinese turbo cheap enough.

the Rods will only take a certain amount of torque.. so 180-200 wheel torque is what I'm told is good by my buddy who has a supercharged Fit.

T25 and T28 sized turbos are the happy place he tells me.

No cage or bar at all?  Even a Fit can move fast enough to be dangerous.

In reply to pinchvalve :

don't kid yourself, anything can move fast enough on track to be dangerous.

it is always up to the owner to pick their poison on how much safety gear they want to buy and install.
