Looking for a T5 from a 2 wheel drive S10/s15, should be 14 spline input shaft and electronic vehicle speed sensor. Columbus ohio area preferred.

What's so special about that particular tranny?

I know for the V8 Ranger swaps, you change out the Ford T5 parts, shifter/forks/tailshaft housing, and end up with a shifter that pokes back up through the original shifter hole. It is supposedly better then the way back place the Mustang puts it, plus not having to make a hole in the floor for it.

Are you building a Flathead powered hotrod too?

I'll second the, "What are you looking to do with it?" question. I have two from S10s, but will have to double check the spline count. Neither are in complete working order and one is still in the truck, but I'd like to swap it and the 2.8 out of the truck soon. First one I wouldn't use for more than the case and misc parts. I was getting plenty of slop from the input shaft. The one in the truck doesn't have 5th gear, but fine otherwise. I'm pretty sure it is something wrong in the shift rods/linkage. The price is right if you're interested in the parts.

Why don't you just swap the tail shaft housings? On a Lemons build I swapped a S10 T5 tail shaft housing onto a Ranger T5. I had to modify a small plastic piece that goes into the end of the 5th shaft but otherwise it was a breeze. There was info on the web covering this but I don't have the link anymore.

I'm working on a 1954 Ford E250 for a friend, the truck was retrofitted to use an early S10 T5 so that would be the simplest transmission to install. The current T5 was run dry and it cooked the input shaft bearing and a few gears. There are several in yards in the Columbus area but I would prefer to buy one from someone who knows the condition of the trans rather than install one to find grinding syncros etc.

Thanks for looking Steve, I could always swap the clutch disc to run the later WC T5 but am currently looking for the most direct route.

I have an S10 2WD transmission. I can't remember if it's from a '91 or '93. I do know that it was in fine working order and EVSS. I'll check the spline count, tomorrow.

Picked another one up from a local yard yesterday, fluid looks good, it's supposed to be low mileage. The truth will out once it's in the truck.
