This was posted early on wednesday (the 19th) on Craigslist, here in Memphis. Like the $200 Rabbit GTi I posted yesterday, I have seen this car/passed by the house it sits in front off, TOO MANY times to count. I always wondered why someone kept this car outside under a cover, but figured they must have had a REALLY nice car they put in their garage (though all I ever remember seeing was a nearly new Corolla). As the ad says, it has not moved in YEARS, and yes, it had a cover over it that was not taken care of. This car sits on an inclined driveway, on a busy street, so either the e-brake has probably rusted up some, or there were blocks wedged under the wheels I didn't see. Like all 944's the area around the hatch opening will be the biggest rust problem, tho I never got to see the back end of this car, the rest of the car looks pretty decent (weathered paint, aside) for being 25 years old.
Independent Porsche/German make repair shops are apparently disappearing in this area, or I'd be tempted to get a closer look and even estimates on potential rebuilds. As seller says, this car can NOT BE DRIVEN from this location, unless you are able to manipulate time and/or space.
As always, no affiliations, relations, friendships....whatevers, between myself and seller.
