Back around 1988, I was at the Westchester County Sportscar Club's October Autofest at Rye Playland and I saw a slantnose 911 that had the rear bumper of a 928 grafted onto it. I still can't get that horrible image out of my head!

unless they seriously reinforced the body , which i doubt, that thing will twist like a soda can fairly easily with the roof gone.. i see allot of parts i could use off that thing, shame im at my maximum car capacity right now or id snatch it up.. on the up side, if someone here here does pick it up, ive got a spare front bumper for it in my attic....

what do you mean "if" they reinforced the body? Don't you see that hefty bent shower curtain rod/roll bar?

And next from Generic Motors, the Foamsche 1872. All the performance of a Renault Alliance and the looks of an Miata that was force bred with a Pacer.

How much for the '64 Impala in the background?

I do believe that's a six-three in the background...
I loves me some '63 Chevy!

Hard to tell without seeing the tail panel (4 lights vs 6), could be either couldn't it?

Looks like a Miata.

6 taillights means Impala, always, from 58-65. 4 means Biscayne/Bel Air/Base models. Check it!

The body lines are a little different between '63 and '64. My visual cue is the quarterpanel. Yep...I'm a geek. I couldn't tell you what a new model car looks like within the past 10 years...but these ones that were made before I was born...I've got some of them nailed.
Seriously though...close enough I guess ;)

Okay, I'm nowhere near, and broke, and busy, so I'm not a challenge threat.
But why doesn't somebody: -buy it -sell off drivetrain and recoup costs -LS1 -cage fab -spend rest of budget on shocks and tires
Obviously, I'm simple-minded, and I have more talk than either time or money. But still, that looks like a good starting point, at least. Once the drivetrain is out, it's essentially a free (if ugly) 944 roller.

thought the 63 had the pointy quater panel, the 62 and 61 the downward slash, the 64 the square. This looks like the 64, but the roof line looks more 62-63

A full roll cage would fix that. It couldn't look any worse with the full cage sticking out.

I stand corrected! certainly not a '63. especially afer seeing the second photo with the whole QP visible. My imagination went wild completing the missing portion of the quarter panel from that first photo posted.
Sorry!

I'm going '64 Sport Coupe on the Impala. It's got the tell-tail '64 quarter. The roof has the faux convertible bows from the Sport Coupe, as opposed to the bubble roof.
