Either that car has been bouncing around a bunch of CL and eBay listings, or there are a lot of '58 Berkeleys in identical condition.

The majority of 4 wheeled Berkeleys came to the US, the majority are this model, the VAST majority remaining are in this general condition and most are in this basic price range.

So it could be either way.

We're still struggling in the Berkeley world to come up with a cheap, straightforward engine swap that would yield usable performance. So far the "easy" options are reliability but even less performance (Honda 200/250) or so much torque stuff continuously breaks (GT550).

These cars would be worth easily 2-3 times what they are now if we could come up with a practical solution that would provide 30-40hp and fit under the 17" high bonnet... Berkeley themselves had the same issues and eventually gave up to go in a different direction altogether.

In one of the pictures the car is taking a leak on a pine tree.

You would need to save the SV to power this beast.
