1959 Opel Rekord Olympia. 4 cylinder doesn't run. Radiator, fan, trim pieces, emblems, and light lenses are in the trunk. One taillight lens is busted but there's a set on ebay for sale. I bought this car about a year ago with the intention of restoring it with a new motor, but I'm never going to get around to it. The previous owner said the timing gear is stripped out and that's all that the motor needed to run..... but I doubt it. I haven't done anything with it, but I would assume the motor needs a complete rebuild. There's a little rust in the passenger front fender and a little rust out in the passenger floor board. Driver's floor, trunk, rear window, everything else looks to be really solid. Transmission did shift through gears until the column linkage came undone. Car rolls freely and tires hold air, but are dry-rotted. I have a ton of pictures I can email. 450 or best offer.
