This is a pretty good candidate for a restoration. Yes, it's mine.

    Europa Ebay listing

My reserve is $1600, so if the bidding doesn't drive it higher, it wouldn't be hard to bring it to the Challenge!

Man are you being deported or something??

No, I gotta get out of the car business for a while. My shop is buried in project cars, and I have a lot of business coming up where I REALLY need to put the shop back to use as a wood shop.

Wood projects and car projects don't play nice. Sawdust in the oil, grease in the wood finishes.

I lust after those....even with all the work it needs, I'd consider it, but wonderful State Dept of Revenue wants monies from me this year.

No windshield is a big deal for Europa. Try to find one and see what it costs. When I parted out my last one the windshield was one of the first pieces claimed and I had a line of Europa owners wanting it.

Does that mean you are going to bid?

I can deliver to ATL, if it helps.

I've got one question about this car.... ...I'm roughly 6'2". Would I be able to fit in the car?

I think so once you got in. It's the in and out that is the problem.

It's a very low seating position. Similar to a Miata, but legs straighter, and back a bit more reclined.

Bidding ends tomorrow on the Ebay ad.

You would think this thing would reach your reserve with no problem.

I agree. It's moving a lot slower than I'd like, considering over 3700 views. I'm certainly hoping for more than the reserve, but things are getting a little close now.

Why do people spend their energy placing bids for less than a known reserve? I don't get it.

Why do people ask why the car won't run when the listing clearly states on multiple occasions that it is a project, and the pictures show plenty of parts removed, and wiring disconnected? I don't get it.

There's less than 4 hours left on this. It just hit it's minimum.

I AM going to close the deal, but I could sure use it getting closer to it's real market value. Times are tough at the Chateau de Rex.

So, it's a bargain. I understand it's not one that would interest many of you (although it IS Challenge priced).

But if anyone knows someone looking for one of these, I'd sure appreciate you passing the word.

Of course, if one of you is the buyer, then I feel a little differently about it.

    Don't think so.

A NJ buyer with a name and a screen name which I do not identify with anyone on this board.

Won by only a $12.50 difference; a bit surprised it didn't sell for a bit more.

    Me too.

I had 160 watchers. I certainly expected a bit of a flurry of activity at the end.

The winning bidder may have bid much higher. At that price level the bidding increment is $12.50. The underbidder bid $1700, so ebay bumped the increment up to $1712.50.

I was the underbidder, I was about to big again but the seconds ran out :(
