Air cooled VWs are riding quite the value surge right now, although Type IIIs haven't quite caught the wave yet. If it is really rust FREE, probably worth it.
Anyone else notice the wheels are 5 bolt?

I was wondering about the wheels...
It just struck me, this might have been for sale a while ago too. It seems vaguely familar. Hence the noted price drop.
Can Porsche bit be added to the suspension?

The rear suspension is similar to a 944 and you can swap the trailing arms (same but lighter) and the disk brakes are a bolt on (need to buy or make an adapter for the parking brake cable but its pretty simple)
The front is nothing like a Porsche though and nothing is swappable there. You can use the Porsche disks if you have the Porsche hub machined for VW bearings.
