Selling my 77 320i project. The car has Megasquirt I v3.0. I had it started in the summer and drove it around my yard. I am a college student and don't have a garage so working on it is difficult. Needs some buttoning up and tuning.
Good stuff: MS I ver3.0 with relay board,Has a nice black interior with Recaros from an 'is', Has a 5 speed from a later e21 swapped in, new clutch and slave cylinder, Four new tires, ~100k on the engine, no carbon on valves. Formerly BMW CCA member owned. Comes with all the CIS stuff. Sale includes a tuning laptop
Issues: The body is pretty rusty, around the quarter windows, taillights, and floor it's the worst. I was having trouble getting the wide band O2 sensor to work (this is why I never got to drive it more than around my yard) I'm not sure if it is a grounding issue or a bad sensor. Transmission leaks from output shaft. I have a new seal and fluid.
It's been a fun project and I wish I had time and a nice place to work on it and finish it up. I'm up for interesting trades as well: running motorcycles, guitars, NO electronics.
