    Not mine... yet...

I have a 1985 Toyota Tercel 4wd Station Wagon. The car has 250,000 miles on it but the engine runs great. It has the stock 3A engine with 62HP. It is a 5 speed manual transmission. The car has some slight damage to the right front fender. New alternator, new battery, new radiator, new wheel bearing. Needs rear brakes but I have them and will go with the car for no extra charge. I have been the owner since May 2009 and have had no problems with this car. It has been driven to Ohio and back, as well as two road trips to Florida. This is a very rare car and turns heads everywhere I go. It has a minor oil leak and tends to use a little oil. I don't need to add more than a quart before each oil change. The power steering leaks as well. The clutch will probably need replaced sometime this year as it has a pretty high release point, but dont get me wrong, this car will drive fine and will go pretty much anywhere you want it to. The interior is in great shape for a car this age, there are no tears or holes in any of the seats. Tires are fairly new and have approximately 90% tread left. The paint is probably a 6 out of 10. I'm leaving for the Army soon and won't need this car anymore and could use the extra cash. Email me if you're interested. NO TRADES.

Just more proof that the 80's were the real glory time of Toyota.

The Mighty 3A. I've worked on one of those motors. I did a water pump (3 times, stoopid World Parts) on like a 81 or 82 Tercel with that motor, I think. Or was it a 2A? It's only been 26 years.

That transmission is N/S, with a transfer thingie kinda sticking off the side of it. The motor used has to have a notch on the right side of the block/pan to clear it. A regular 4A motor, as found in MR2's, for example, won't work. HOWEVER, a 4AGE 20 valve just happens to have that notch. The transmission could probably handle the power, but it is not known as being as tough as even a T50. Certainly use magic transmission fluid. 160 HP would be a whole lot more phun than 62.

Funny thing is, I have one of these in the back and it is in better shape than this; twin-stick and all...............I am open to offers.
