    sigh

Yes . . .it's mine, what started off as an idea for a cool and quick to get running daily driver . . .turned into something else. It still runs and drives EXTREMELY WELL, just needs work . . .more work than I'm willing to invest right now, LOL!

    I have it listed for $1000, but I'll cut a deal for a GRMer . . .

    Here's the listing

Welp, once again, I'm selling one of my daily drivers. It's a 1986 BMW 325ES, pretty fun to drive, and a very reliable daily driver and I can attest to this because I drive it back and forth from Alpharetta to Douglasville Monday through Friday. The reason I'm letting her go is because, even though she's a great car in good condition, she's still far from what I need. I bought this car thinking it'd be my don't-worry-about car, but I've put more maintenance into it than I'd care to admit. LOL! But she runs and drives VERY well and will get you anywhere you need to go, surprisingly enough, in a hurry. It's not FAST, but it's quick and picks up to 60 quicker than I thought she would.

    The Good:

-Runs and Drives EXTREMELY well with superb reliability

-Clean Body, no chassis rust and minimal body rust (small spots)

-Limited Slip Differential (Contrary to what I thought, this is NOT a factory standard, it's actually an option, and she still locks HARD when you get on the throttle)

-Eta motor (means superior gas mileage, I've gone further on a half-tank of gas than some do on a full tank

-Sport Seats (Very comfy, ultra supportive)

-AC Schnizer Pedals (I like em a lot, very attractive and great grip)

-MOMO Corse Steering Wheel (Came with the car when I bought it, wasn't my choice of color, but I love the way that wheel feels in your hands)

-Short Shifter (the previous owner didn't know where it came from, so I'm not sure, but it's firm, shifts well and is pretty direct)

-MSD Ignition (Helps out a LOT with fuel economy and adds a few ponies up top)

-Aftermarket exhaust (I'm not a big fan of them, but that straight 6 sounds very good with it)

-Fresh tune up (Within the last two weeks)

    The Bad:

-Interior isn't perfect and will need work

-The previous owner yanked out the stereo system, so there are wires all over the place. I ran a wire to the battery and I have the ignition cable sourced so it can work if you run your own speaker wires.

-It's an E30, so it has electrical gremlins. Nothing dangerous, I'd never sell a car like that, but it has some issues. NONE OF THESE AFFECT THE CAR'S ABILITY TO RUN AND DRIVE SAFELY! It will get you where you need to go as quickly or comfortably as you prefer.

-The air conditioning blower motor appears seized, I'm going to work on this to get it working. My friend, a BMW Guru, is going to walk me through fixing it.

-She's got some pretty good mileage on her, the odometer stopped working (VERY common on E30s) at 290806, but that's only around 12,000 miles a YEAR which is less than the 15,000 mile average per year according to Consumer Reports and NHTSA.

How bad is the interior? Pics of the seats/carpet/door cards?

Interior isn't HORRIBLE, it's got a cracked dash, the driver's seat has a tear and the driver's door panel needs a new handle frame, but overall it really could just use a vacuum and detail.

I took these just now, try not to pay attention to the speakers, wires and radio as I'll most likely keep those for my drifter.

Those are AC Schnizer Pedals and a Momo Corse wheel . . .and the coolest bit is that the power sunroof still works perfectly . . .I don't get E30s at ALL! LMAO!

its tempting and i have the money...

but.. I already have one (lower miles, but 4door and auto)

my landlady (mother) would SHOOT me if i got a 3rd car

damn, i really want it to part to get the parts to stick swap mine, put the lsd in (and probly the power roof)

i gotta pass though sadly.. while i have the money im trying to develop a decent savings stash to just sit on.

will watch for decreasing price though

it is doable if you keep your foot out of it and drive highway. (ive had a tank or 2 where i got that)

about 26mpg is more typical for me lately, but i have a 1,500ft elevation change in my daily commute (lots of throttle to get up that hill at highway speed) that said, im hunting some stumbles wtih the car (probly ignition)

also of note is that mine is an AUTO and i have the stock rear end ratio

Are the rear wheels painted, or did someone drive around with the parking brake on for a couple of months?
