Challenge is over, time to move on. 1986 bmw 535i - e28 chassis. 5spd, 3.42 limited slip, 19 spoke alloys. Originally bronze beige - garage respray. Great interior (except cracked dash), pearl beige leather - comfort seats- runs and drives beautifully. 214k (215 by the time I get home). Straight and clean. No rust other than two small spots by the license plate lights. I've DD the car for 6 months. No smoke, rock solid idle. New oem rotors, hawk hps pads. $2010

I would have seriously considered that while it was down here. It looked pretty stinkin' nice in person.

Ended up 41st overall. For a dead stock 5er - I'm happy with that. It's not a slight to the car - the competitors are bringing that good of hardware.

It would have done better in concourse if I had dealt with the engine bay at all. Could have shaved 2 secs off the autocross times with decent tires and lower springs

Nice price for a rust free E28 that far north. How's it doing for the usual E28 stuff (braking shimmy, clunks under hard acceleration, guibo, water in the trunk, melted spots in the fuse box, etc)?

Sold it today - was really solid - no shimmies, shakes or clunks - new driveshaft center bearing and guibo when I got it - does need tail light and trunk seals - probably one of the nicest cheap e28 out there. Kinda miss it, but checked the box and time for something else. Kid from chicago got it.
