Not mine, not affiliated... Rally Wagon....?

1989 Subaru GL 4WD Wagon 5 spd manual 4wd. Had new tires put on last oct and only driven 1000 afterwards. Needs new front left axle and hub, and a rack and pinion unit. Car can be driven on to a trailer but not on the road. The tires alone are worth 200 so it would make a good parts cars or teenager fixer upper. 1ST WITH THE CASH HAULS IT OFF......... CASH ONLY!!

The rims themselves are fairly rare...

It would make a great LeMons / ChumpCar candidate. Not fast, but durable.

I miss my old one. Go anywhere do anything. Too far away.

I think that is the only car I've ever had that was slower than my Quantum Syncro. Cruise control was pinning the throttle to the floor. I think I did eventually time myself as 0-60 in 16 seconds.

If you've never had one, "replace axle" is a freakin' ordeal. Normal cars, the hub presses into the bearing, and the axle slides into the hub. These Subarus, the axle presses into the bearing, and the hub slides onto the end of the axle.

I bet someone left the hub loose and it chewed up the axle end... "hmm, castellated nut, I'll tighten it finger tight and back off 1/8" turn". That's how it was on mine. Torque is >250ft-lb.

1.8 Impreza struts/uprights/axles are probably a bolt-in, if you don't mind having two different wheel patterns and losing the handbrake.

GC-current Impreza struts and springs bolt in when using take-off XT6 knuckles and axles, IIRC.
