I've got a set of Granny's conversion mounts for a 1st gen RX-7 siting in the garage taking up space. They are the mounts only for a 302/C4. $30, no shipping, if I can help it, thus the low price. Never installed.

If you are interested in shipping let me know. Any idea if the engine mounts are any different between the transmissions or is it just the cross member?

    Thanks,

    Greg

    In reply to Greg Voth:

I think the engine mounts are the same. Oh yeah, it would've been useful to mention I'm just a little east of Cincinnati, OH

The motor mounts should be the same since it's just the brackets to use on the RX7 cross member.

I used a T5 when I built mine and don't know C4s but it seems like even if there are differences you could probably modifiy the C4 mount to use with the T5. The design of the grannies mounts are pretty simple.

If I remember right this is about $150 from Grannies. So, this is a good price. I've been there, done that on the V8 RX7 thing so I have no real interest in these but would be a good deal for someone.

Hell if you will ship them I will take them just in case I ever get around to doing a V8 RX-7.

Planning on a V8 FB for 2010. Already have the car and donor. Can I bump you Greg?

You are in the same boat I am. I have a RX-7 and an 88 5.0 donor. I am just not sure if the 5.0 is going in a BMW or a RX-7 at this point. Depending on how nice the BMW is it may or may not get the 5.0.

The RX-7 seems to be more challenge realistic as I am having a hard time finding a cheap E36 vert.

Maybe we could each buy one mount and use duct tape for the other side. Timing's everything and first come first served so you make the call. Either way I'm sure they won't be clogging up Eastsidemav's garage anymore.

Yeah let me talk to my wife about it tonight. She wants the E36 vert with a 5.0 but all the verts are either rats or expensive. I need a nice cheap one with a blown motor.

So what'd she say? If I were her I wouldn't settle for some Japanese coupe. I'd insist on the German drop top.

After driving a couple of them she seems to want to leave the I6 in the BMW and throw the Mustang motor in one of the RX-7s. I think I am going to have to call dibs on this one. The RX-7 should end up at the challenge if all goes as planned.

Fair enough but can I ask for a favor? can you email me some detailed photos of them? Maybe I can fab up some of my own. Thanks!

I was about to update this. It looks like I might be buying an RX-7 with the motor already swapped and selling off the Mustang. So why don't you go ahead and work something out eastside
