The reason I threw in the towel on the Caddy powered Metro is I couldn't engineer my way through the rear suspension. Looks like this guy can't either.

The Olds set up has the engine sitting as it would in a Chevy truck, but the transmission is under the oil pan. Cadillacs have the engine transverse (see below) with the tranny underneath. Caddy puts the engine above the axle where the Olds is a bit more out front. I suspect this one, with a Toronado tranny, would poke you in the shoulder.

Therefore, you could simply drive around in this magically-propelled vehicle, only worrying about actually mounting the engine whenever time allowed.
