Thought I'd throw this out there any case anyone needs something to balance out their tiny Miata...or a giant trunk to store it in (or you could put the prerequisite dead hookers in it too
).
It's a 1965 Olds Delta 88 Holiday sedan. It was with it's original owner all the way until 2008. The guy was in his mid-80's when he sold it. He sold it to a guy who was a collector of mid-60's GM cars. I bought it over the summer. The car has about 130,000 miles on it. 425ci, 2bbl carb, single exhaust. Rated at 310hp and 390lb/ft tq. Pulls like a freight train. 3 spd auto trans. The car runs and drives quite well for a nearly half century old car. Brake pedal is really firm. Engine doesn't smoke, knock, drip all over the garage, etc... Steering is what you'd expect for an old land yacht. Works fine, but the term "vague" comes to mind. It really is a great cruiser. That said, it's not a show car. The best way I can describe it is that it was an old mans' daily driver that is now retired. So it's what you'd expect for a 46 year old former daily driver. Interior is decent, not great. Body is pretty darn solid, as is the frame. I've got a bunch of spare parts, such as extra body trim, exhaust, etc...
I bought it with the plans of using it to take my wife and 3 young kids to cruise nights or out for ice cream. I even had a shop install 3 point belts in the front and back (there are 5 of them). Those plans never materialized. For one reason or other, we never got to use it much. I think we took it out 2 or 3 times. It spends its' time sitting in the garage. So while my kids want me to keep it, I'd rather have my garage stall back, so I can put that Tracker you see in the background in the garage...or maybe another toy.
Price is $1850, car is located near Allentown, PA. Here's a link with all the pictures I have of it.
