"I tried emailing them never got a response"

WHAT, an ad on Craigslist...and no one answered your e-mail? What is the world coming too?

Sorry, I wish I had a dollar for every e-mail I've sent to sellers on CL who couldn't be bothered to respond.

I tried selling a car for $400 a few years back. ($400 is seriously cheap for any running car in Cleveland, and this was before the C4C drove used car prices through the roof. Well, through-er)

I had 14 responses in a couple hours. Many more that evening.

I only responded to a small handful of them. My process of elimination was simple: Everybody who asked a question that was already answered in the ad was just ignored, too many people to deal with for me to even bother with a "RTFM lol" response. I posted a detailed ad with such critical things like body style, type of transmission, body color, and mileage. (Not "runs good call xxx-xxx-xxxx") If someone replied with "what color is it" or "is it a 5 sp speed stick", i figure, it's easier for me to ignore them because there are people who DID pay attention who will in all likelihood be much easier people to deal with. I'm not saying that you are guilty of this, just laying out the priorities that I had as a seller - this guy may be different. In fact, I hope this guy is different, one of me is enough for one planet, if there were mroe of us then we'd all be screwed

TL;DR: Cheap cars get lots of responses, in this case it is a seller's market and prospective buyers may be "fired" with no loss on the seller's part.

If it's an automatic just the injection pump is worth more than that. Either way it could be parted out for $$$.
