My Samurai needs lower gears in its transfer case, so I'm thinning the fleet to finance it.

Late 70s Yamaha 650 twin in a hard tail frame with a 5" stretch. Forward control brake and foot clutch, suicide shift. 21" front wheels, 16" rear, drums on both. The tank is from a Harley Fat something that straddles the frame. The shotgun is obviously plastic, Officer, but I needed something to fill the gap.

I have some, not all of the stock parts. The carbs are good but not on the bike, I have wiring, gauges and a box of sundry items. I do have a clean title for it.

Asking $1000 because I have about that invested. It's located near Albany, NY

Trades are entertained but my goal is a lower transfer case ratio.

How it looked when I pulled it apart:

Would you be willing to meet partway?

Can you provide some measurements of the bike? I wonder if it would fit in my car with a seat removed...

Yeah, part way from Schenectady. Please don't tell me you're in Montana or something.

I'll get overall length and height numbers.

Overall length is 80". From the bottom of the front wheel to the triple tree is 40".

If my profit margin were higher I would consider driving part way to Va. but unfortunately it isn't.

My son wants his bike to be in Atlanta. Depending on what can be worked out with him or the arrangements he makes, you may be in luck.

Let me know if something is possible.

Otherwise, I may be able to figure something out. If the front end and wheels were removed, I could probably remove the passenger seat and put it there...

Damn I wish I still had my wagon.

I'll keep you posted. I'm trying to convince my son to buy a small trailer and tote his bike to Atlanta. The 650 also comes with a roller thingie with caster wheels to roll it around; also keeps my old butt off the cold concrete.

Look at the bottom of the photo. http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2985877360047935481pPbRyy
