I have resigned myself to the fact that my back injury is not going to improve enough, for me to be able to finish my JH project. It has been stored inside for the 18 years I have owned it. It is "sleeping" outside tonight for maybe the fifth time since I have owned it. I welded the 2"x2" square tube chassis, with a Miller 220V MIG welder, on a proven, professional grade chassis jig. I did most of the tin-work with galvanized, but the structural pieces (like the rocker panels) are of mild steel.

What it needs to be drivable: a battery

wiring (the old harness is there and complete, but who trusts three decades old + British wiring)

    radiator (the old one leaks)

    rear shocks

    fuel cell/ gas tank

    windshield

It will need painted. I painted it shortly before my injury, but it was badly orange-peeled, so I had it pretty much wet-sanded down, and ready to re-coat when I got injured.

It has five new Sumitomo tires on freshly painted factory aluminum wheels.

I have a new set of timing-belt pulleys for it. The belt was replaced shortly before I bought it, but of course a new one should be used with the new pulleys.

Edited to add: I have title in hand And $2,000.00 obo

Apparently the economy sucks worse than I thought. $1750.00 or interesting motorcycle trade, bike parts are lighter and it's easier for my wife to push in and out of the garage.

Say Honda CB 550 or steel tank XL 250-350, or Yamaha RD 350-400.

I bought a Yamaha R5 at the Barber Vintage Festival last weekend, and need room in the garage.

Sorry I didn't show the bumpers (aluminum) and the windshield frame in the pics. I have both, and the stainless windshield trim piece.

After a chat about the legal ramifications of someone buying this and getting hurt, I decided to take it to the scrapyard. I will keep the new tires/wheels and front airdam to sell.

If anyone wants another part, contact me SOON. Like removing a stuck bandage, this will be over with quick.

I kind of went through the same thing when I was building a Locost. I kept thinking, "If I ever finish this thing, I'm stuck with it."

SOLD to the scrap man for 10 cents on the dollar.

Anybody want some freshly restored factory aluminum rims w/Sumitomo's (5 new) complete with aluminum lug nuts (16) $600? Or a Kamai air dam from a 1st gen RX-7, slightly modified to fit a JH $75?
