I've seen a couple sub $2000 XJ8s, usually with a blown engine. A blown transmission but working engine usually gets them to about $3-4000.
I've been watching Lincoln LS prices too, since I think turbocharging one of the V6/manual trans cars would make it a great sleeper, but they rarely get below $1500 even with a blown trans or engine. Dumping a V6 S-Type for less than a grand is a little surprising, but not that surprising I guess. Would be fun to swap a 4.8L LS with a manual trans into one.
