    Okay, here's more info

Exterior - Has some lower body rust, but is pretty solid, except for on the driver's side bracket under the car that the trans mount bolts to. Its pretty crusty. I was was going to cut out and rebuild some of it if I had the time, but it held up in the challenge okay. The floorpan itself is actually solid, only 2-3 small rust holes, and judging from the appearance, they are from the inside of the car out, because the rest of the floorpan is pretty nice looking. The drivers door is dented.

Its just spray painted blue, and has some thin spots, and a few primer spots where the paint came up when I pulled the stickers from the challenge. Mind you, the primer is the original primer from the car, so the spray job my team did actually held onto the factory paint nicely, and pulled it right off the car. So, the car was built at Van Nuys. Headlight doors motors are disconnected. The headlights can be manually raised.

Interior - most of the interior is still in the car, although the HVAC/Stereo, console/rear seats have been removed. I have most of that to put back in if you want. The firewall holes have been patched up, but I did it in a way they can be removed relatively easily.

Drivetrain - The car was originally a 305/T5 car. The only vestige of the 5 speed left is the clutch pedal. It now has a 350/700R4 from an 88 Caprice. The 700R4 has a bad leak, but still works fine. The TV Cable may be double gasketed. Since it doesn't have a computer, it no longer locks up, but I have a lockup kit I can include. The engine has an Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold, and HEI distributor, a Holley Street Avenger 570 Carb, and Summit racing shorty headers. Has a 3.23 open rear end. Engine starts up on first crank of the starter, after you pump the gas a couple of times. Right now, its probably running a bit rich, and with not enough timing. Didn't get much of a chance to tune it before the challenge.

Chassis/Suspension - Stock suspension, with 1 coil cut from each front spring. Replaced most of the steering hardware on the car, and new discs/calipers/rubber lines up front. New wheel cylinders/hard lines/soft line in the back. I also have new hard lines for the front, but didn't install them, since they weren't needed yet. They'll be included. Rear brakee could probably use a bit of adjusting.

Electrical - I botched something up when I tightened up the steering column. Wipers don't work, only the right turn signals work (but I think thats because one of the left turn bulbs is burnt out), speedo doesn't work, and the temp guage doesn't work. Tach, voltage, and oil pressure gueages all seem fine. Ignition, starter, and cooling fan are on switches in the dash. I was careful to run the cooling fan often, so it should not have overheated at all.

For the electrical reasons above, the trans leak, the junk tires, and the fact that I made the y-pipe sit way too low, I'd suggest against driving the car home. You are welcome to test it a bit in my neighborhood, though.

Not sure why the second link isn't working. However, you should be able to navigate to that album from the first album, its in the same account.

BTW - also may be willing to do some trading for a smaller car...

Bump - price is negotiable. Might also trade for something with two wheels and an engine.

Someone get this rattletrap out of my driveway!

Time for a fire sale on the Firebird, it and its parts are taking up to much space

$500 Firm to whoever can come an get it first when I'm available. Any less than that, and I'll either keep it over winter and mess with it in the spring, put it on craigslist at a higher price, or part it out and scrap whatever isn't worth much.
