I would be tempted to repaint everything but the hood. I think it kinda looks cool in an authentic sorta way.

It's a toss-up as to which car is cooler: your Starion ESI-R, or this CSX.

Those seem to be pretty cheap most of the time. I passed on an ex showroom stock race car version for $800, it hadn't run in years and looked to have been on it's roof more than once.
