No pics right now, and I won't be able to respond to emails much, if at all, from tomorrow (Friday 9/12) after 4pm eastern, until Sunday night. But I and the car will be at the NASA nationals this weekend at Mid-Ohio.
OK, it's a '91 SE-R, blackish (faded, with peeling clearcoat in spots), but very solid, with only one rust spot, driver's rocker just in front of the rear wheel. It has a sunroof, but it leaks because the seal is missing, and I haven't bothered to fix it--it's been a very dry summer in Ohio! So, the headliner is a little funky smelling, but you can have it--it's in the garage right now. .
Car runs well for having 170,000 on the clock. ECU throws a code occasionally for a knock sensor, so it idles a little funny at times--mostly when warm, but take her over 1200 and she runs like a dream. Likely needs a CV joint, or at least a boot, on the right side--it's throwing a little grease on the alternator belt, so it slips occasionally--like twice in the last month, so not that frequent. Also, power steering lines leak a little, I guess it's common on these. But, as I mentioned, NO 5TH GEAR POPOUT!!!
$2000, pretty firm. MIGHT consider trades of auto-trannied front or allwheel drive station wagons, such as Volvo 850, Accord or Camry wagon, Subie Legacy or Forester, or first-gen Honda Odyssey. In other words, I've got child #2 due soon, and I'm tired of putting child #1 in the back of a 2 door car. Otherwise, I'd drive the Sentra for quite a while. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this cross-country right this moment. . .
I'll post pics after the weekend, but like I said, I'll be at the NASA nats somewhere in the middle paddock. Not racing, working with Phil's Tire Service.
