I think 16V Corey means the 924S uses the early-offset suspension with the late-offset wheels, albeit only in 15x6 instead of the 944's 15x7.

    Precisely.

Got the sold it e-mail last night. Onward, but correct me if I'm wrong - 944s seem like they would be a good candidate to make a few bucks as parts cars???

I'm noticing several CL ads that mention doesn't run suspect a fuel problem. Is that code for the timing belt broke at speed, but you might buy it if you think it's a $20 fix?

I never understood Porsche's fascination with sticking to one wheel design. On phone dials alone there are innumerable combos:

    • 85.5-86 944 early-offset, 15"
    • 86 951 early-offset, 16x7 and 16x8
    • 87-89 944 late-offset, 15"
    • 87-89 951 late-offset, 16x7 and 16x8
    • 87-88 924S bizarre offset, 15"
    • ??-?? 928 wtf knows what offset, 15"??

And that's just for one wheel design over the period of what, 5 years?

So yeah, who the heck knows what this car is.

I am convinced it is the result of liberal amounts of beer being applied to German engineering.

DME relay, fuel pump or possible DME its self. Diagnose in that order

DME Relay has the power running through it for the fuel pump...that is the dirty little secret... found it on my 944 turbo-S that I bought out of a back yard for $2700.00. ...later found the 3 bent valves...Oh well.

It looks way to nice to part out. I wonder if I could talk my wife into a 911....

Dibs on the rear reflector, grill, owners manuals, tool kit and spare tire compressor!
