Got some stuff in the garage that needs to go.

    ca18det block (complete rotating assembly)

two ca18det heads in various states of assembly/completeness. a nightmare

two ca18et intake manifolds in the same state

ca18det manual transmission. Supposedly it's the same as the ka24/sr20 transmission but with a shorter 5th gear. I don't know.

subaru 4at from a 92 legacy turbo with 144k miles on it. the engine was in incredibly good condition. not sure about the transmission

ej22e with 300k miles on it that still ran. leaking like a sieve.

finally we have a giant squirrel cage fan that was supposedly from a public school bathroom hvac system. I was told that it needs a belt and that's it. I never gave it a shot

I don't know why anyone would want these items, but I figured it was worth a try.

How workable is the ca18det bottom end? When you get a chance can you post pictures, or email them if that's easier, of the heads and whatever else you have?

Depending on just how much of a nightmare it is I might be interested.

Assemble ca18det, connect to fan, install on flat bottom boat.

That CA18 stuff has "Challenge project" written all over it. If I hadn't sold my S12 200SX I'd probably be on the phone with you right now. GLWS!

    Here ya go:

Some of the wiring is gone, the turbo is gone, the blitz ecu is gone, and the gasket set is gone.

I don't know why the link isn't working. It works if you copy+paste it. Try that.

Oh, I also have not found any injectors in any of the boxes, for what it's worth.

The bottom end "spins freely" but that's all I can really say.

Copy + paste the link instead of clicking it, and it works. There is a lot of PROFIT in that CA18 for someone on this board...

The line I thought I had on an S12 isn't looking great, so unless you end up not being up to move this stuff in the near future I'm probably not a buyer. The Panasports I just picked up, a CA18DET and a deal on an S12 working out would have been too perfect.

Make it work! My e30 handling well depends on it!

If I can find another one locally that's not being sold by a sketchy individual, I'll assuredly be in contact. I'm not even having luck finding a decent S13 though.

One time I spent 1.5 years looking for a decent S13.

Please shoot me an email regarding price on the EJ22. I'm in if it's real cheap, but can't fathom when the H E doublehockeysticks I could get up there to snatch it.

I saw that list in the title and couldn't wait to see what you were building. All I saw was engine, transmission and big fan, sounded like fun. Then I noticed it was in the 200X section. What a letdown.

the ej22 is accounted for at this point

and yes toyman, I would love a ca18det powered squirrel cage fan as much as the next man, but sadly other things come first.

Bump. Someone come get this stuff. I'll let it go cheeeeeeeeeeeeap

Hell, I'd trade everything for some good snow tires. Bonus points if they are on 15" or 16" subaru wheels

damn you taiden, you have me thinking strange thoughts of the 280z powered by a ca. "180z"
btw the z will be a 12 or 13 challenge car. have a teammate and a garage, just don't know what were going to power it with. have a l24 but want ot do something at least a little radical for the challenge.

my disclaimer is that I have NO idea what you would need to get it all going, but it is about 95% of what you need. It would be perfect for a challenge car where you don't mind so much about it being 100% sorted.

plus I really need/want some snow tires.

    Or a mini lathe.
