1988 ford festiva with a mazda B6T engine swap. 150+ hp. You can read all about the swap on fordfestiva.com . I did the swap about 8 years ago. I have long been hoping to get a new festiva body to transfer over the upgrades, and keep the car for good, but I have no time for that anymore. The body is the main concern with this car. It has some bad rust spots and is ugly. the ugliness adds to the sleeper mystique, but I wanted to transfer the swap for the rust issues. If you want to transfer it yourself, or don't care about the rust, this may be the car for you.

It has a clutchnet kevlar clutch disc with double diaphragm pressure plate. I just put that on about 20k miles ago, because I had issues with the harsh engagement of my 4 puck racing clutch, also from clutchnet, which I will include with the car. Lower control arms, Festiva Motorsport lowering springs, and kyb gr2 struts were installed with the engine swap. I have installed one Bombz racing seat, and have another for sale additionally, in-box. The interior is pretty much stripped. I don't know if I will offer the wheels that are currently on the car, or replace them before sale (I have to check into some things). I also have a buch of spare parts for the car (wiring harness, intake, ecu's, sensors, etc...), which are included as well.

This car was fully functional until a week ago, when a brake line rusted out. I can repair the line for an extra charge, so you could drive this car home. Otherwise it will need to be trailered to have the line repaired first. I have just decided that I can't have a toy car to tinker with anymore, since I have a 2-year-old and loads of other projects to do on my house.

Great, he tells you that the car may be too rusty for your taste....then omits any pix. Tho, in defense, the ad is well written and he says he will make the car a "driver" for a small(?) fee.

Hmm, combine with the festiva in Indiana, shake well on a rallycross course, win M2?

In scanning the post title I thought it said "6BT Swapped Festiva," and did a serious double take. A 6BT would weigh about what the shell of a Festiva weighs. Heh.

You weren't the only one - I also misread the title and went - Uh? What?
