Okay.... "Needs some work", but has a "good motor and body and no rips inside the interior"....so say it in English. What's the reason for "needs work"? All I can see is that it needs a paint job and for $1200 I'm wondering if it's worth the time to try to get ahold of this guy. I'm saying that because I would think this car couldn't still be for sale.

Sounds to me like that leaves plenty of room for transmission, differential, and suspension problems!

Oh yeah, I can think of all kinds of things. Brakes, I bet, to add to jsymonds list.
I really like those cars. First BMW that I was aware of. I thought they were the coolest cars ever. I remember asking my dad what it was and I told him I really liked it. He said "you have good taste".
