I realize it wouldn't be easy/possible? to restore this car to "like new" condition, and the lack of a title might make things even dicier, but for $600 can't someone here rescue this one of a kind (and RUST-FREE) Japanese sedan? Are there no hard core Mazda lovers out there?

I'd love to go grab that. Not having a title is a real killer for any project.

Something about this car screams Plymouth Volare . Maybe a 360 mopar engine would fit ?

That steering wheel looks exactly like the one in my '87 RX-7. Too bad I don't live on the left coast, I would have tried to save it.

That's because it is an 87 RX-7 steering wheel. The original wheel looks nothing like that and is very valuable. There are actually nicer Cosmos floating around at this price level. No title, no Cosmo-specifc 13B, no trans, it's a parts car and a tough sale.
