Upon further reflection, I've decided that this is pure genius.

I'm also petrified of what will happen if I actually run this query.

EDIT: It didn't hurt too bad. Good thing I've got too much willpower for a $2k 323GTX.

If this doesn't make it into Say What, I'm canceling my subscription (which I don't have)!

This is, without a doubt, going to be the best thing I read all day. I've posted it as my "Quote Of The Day" on the book of faces and the plus google.

Thanks, guys! I love it when I can make people chuckle...

Thank goodness Grtechguy didn't spell that right or typo one of the other 24 wrong letters, and that nocones pointed it out. You don't get a setup like that every day.

Sorry? Why? I'm sure that's the funniest thing I'll write this year, and it wouldn't have worked without that typo... And I don't think anybody misunderstood what you meant there.

How do you use this with Craigslist? As far as I can tell they don't support the use of multiple keywords like that. Trying your string in the search box on cl nets zero results despite individual keywords finding results. (except bard, nobody's selling one of those right now.)

  • Grtechguy

    Aug. 10, 2011 12:32 p.m. Grtechguy SuperDork

    copy everything after the :

the pipe symbol (|) are above your enter key, use them instead of commas.

the ( and ) are very important.

using (keyword|keyword|keyword) will find adds with any of the words, but not all.

    try: (Project|"parts car"|broke|broken|divorce|"wife says"|"needs work"|"Barn Find"|Classic)

  • 92CelicaHalfTrac

    So is "fuel pump."

Because every seller with a car that doesn't start is convinced it's "just a fuel pump."

Or "recharge." Because every time A/C breaks, it just needs a recharge.
