You may have seen this before, but I have yet to do anything with this Formula Ford chassis and it's too cool to just sit in my basement.
$1000 or interesting trade. I'd be willing to listen if you have an old Honda Dual Purpose bike, a set of Fuchs wheels, a Cannondale suspension bike or Curta calculator that you'd like to get rid of.
Here's what you get:
*Titan Mk IX Formula Ford Chassis, sandblasted, primed and painted, with a few bits of new Grade 8 hardware thrown in. A few tubes have been replaced, and you may want to clean up some of the welds, but it appears to be clean and straight. It includes a bag seat, pedals and master cylinders and a dash panel.
*Macon Formula Ford body. Not sure of the year, but my guess would be around 1969. It's too narrow for the chassis. My plan was to split it down the center line and add two inches of fiberglass, since it needs to be refinished anyway. It is shown in loose mock up with the chassis.
*Honda CBR600 engine, with carbs and oil cooler. Former spare from a Formula SAE car. Needs ignition.
My plan was to add the suspension uprights, wheels and tires, steering and rear of a donor Miata, along with some fabricated A-arms to build the lightest thing to ever contest the Challenge.
I had also thought about the option of using a VW Fox engine / transmission combo (longitudinal engine, front drive) to build a more traditional formula car on the cheap.
The car is in Connecticut.
