Dude, how is it powering that wall without a distributor cap?
It's using the force Mr. Brown, it's using the force.
What replaced it? Engine bay in those things will accept almost anything.
I'm actually not entirely sure, the engine is a remnant of my boss's old business, he used to do Z cars in a big way, now he's moved into bmw's.
what in the world? I am sitting is a hotel south of Cinci in Kentucky and am heading to Columbus tomorrow afternoon.
pete...........come get me..........280Z engine........
Sounds like the force is pulling Pete that way.
I made it to Columbus after 6:00pm. I am NOT going to be able to throw this in the back of my Trailblazer and drive home. Thanks anyway......
Pete.................you already have a spare 2400cc engine block............and a spare 280Z engine in parts in your basement and garage sitting around........................your wife is going to be pissed..................but what else is new?
Bizzump
Isn't it supposed to idle like this:

I have a friend who may be interested and can pick up. He's kind of a purist and wanted to keep his 240z a 2.4l but I may be able to change his mind.
Plus he's about to drive my bridge ported 13B engined RX-7. I got over being a purist quite some time ago...
Not if you add enough chrome John, if you gold plate all the bolt heads it idles like this:
Bizz-nizzle-shim-tizzle-gim-gim-gizzle.
Don't even ask about anodized aluminum... it gets way crazy.
Knurled, show your friend the way, he can always install the OG engine years down the road.
Still have this.

forward link to thread to a 240z owner I know
Appreciate it, would love to have those few square feet back so I can fill them with more current parts.
I told my friend about it and he's all, hmm, i don't know if I want to spend that kind of money. Hey look an Impulse six states away for $2500, perfect another car that I can sit and look at because it doesn't run!
(PS - I know he's reading this.)
theoretically what kinda #'s would one expect out of this combo? i don't know a damn thing about nissans but i know that i love inline 6's
