not mine, no affiliation, just bringing liquor to the AA meeting...

[snip] 1983 Renault Fuego 5 speed transmission Convertible with sunroof 24,800 original miles Dealer repair manual included

It was only driven for 2 years, and only saw one winter season. The rest of the time it has been in storage in a garage. So the body is in great condition in regards to rust and use damages. It does have a dent in the back fender. It has a blown head gasket and has not been started up in 20 years, so it will need some work.

I have more pix if you want to see more. Just email and ask.

If you are interested, please call Bill at 248-348-3776 248-348-3776 or email Lisa.

Besides the fact that the head gasket is already lunched, do these things like LOTS of boost?

hehehe.. fortunately i am not geographically close, or financially equipped to deal with one of those at the moment. the last time I played with one, which was my uncles, we couldn't even figure out how to change the oil (i was still into American iron at the time) and my uncle sold it the next day... I would rock one now though, all 107 ponies of it...

In two years it was driven 24.8k miles, which is normal driving and then it puked the gasket. I know warranties have changed a lot over the past 27 years but it is possible that the Fuego only had a one year 12k warranty. I would have thought more like 2yr/24k. I suppose that the gasket went just outside of warranty period.
    Needs more northstar!
With such a big roof opening, just turn up the power until the body twists then back off a little.

I remember taking one of those for a test drive back in the late 80s. It was dangerously slow until the boost came in, at which poiint the acceleration was upgrded to "adequate". And the body roll was so bad I honestly thought it was going to scrape it's bodywork on the pavement.

It was the first, last, and only French car I've driven, and I intend to keep it that way unless we suddenly start getting the good Citroens and such in this country.

Good Citroens isn't that an oxymoron. The best French cars are the hot hatches from Renault.

Could be, I'm no expert on the topic, most of what I know about French cars is from watching WRC:
