My wife has been wanting to get out of the ordinary DD...just showed this to her and she really liked it. It would have to be converted to an auto and AC would need to be added. ecotec 2.9 swap? LS swap?

Here's a twofer special on Ebay for 1/3 the price.
An engine swap is not unthinkable but I wouldn't try a v8, or v anything for that matter. The upper control arm mounts are pretty tight for anything wider than an I-4, etc. Many have swapped to a B23T with success.
Adding AC isn't hard if you can find one. There's a breaker in NY that often has the parts but they add up. For all the parts you are looking over $400.
I like the '77 with the single headlights. I still want one of these with a 302/T5 swap.
