It would be nice to get away from the Northeast for a while, and I haven't taken a road trip in a while, and car's got new timing belt and brakes. No family obligations over the holdidays...and I could look for work down there...and continue on south and visit the sister in Fl.

Someone has got to get this piece of unholy goodness. Ok, so the autocross would be a challenge, but this would rock the drags and with a little buffing out (and a hefty dose of attempted bribery) the concours judges would love it. Aussiemg and triumph5, its calling you!!

It was this VW with a fwd Old 455 placed in that back seat. Note how wide the rear axle is on that VW.

With the near-extinction of the "family farm" in the Southeast, the Native Rural Southerner has two choices. Go to New Orleans and work in the oil industry, or go to Atlanta and find a construction (or if you finished college, a "white collar") job.
