My Dad wants to sell his 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee and asked me to put this up here. From memory, it's got around 300 000 km and is a good runner for the mileage. Body nice, no rust, charcoal cloth interior in good shape. It's a 318 V8 with Quadratrac 4WD (incl. low range) and has a serious trailer hitch already installed. It passed its last emissions check easily but does seem to burn a bit of oil. The A/C is presently not working but is easy to fix (has dark tint so you don't really need it anyway.) New exhaust.

Great tower; I used it to tow my Starion all the way back from New Mexico a couple years ago and it handled a ~3000 lb car on a ~2000 lb trailer just fine, even through some mountain areas.

I don't have too many pics at the moment but here it is:

He wants around $2200 but could probably be talked down to $2010.

If interested, post here or shoot me a PM/email and I'll pass on his contact info!

I should mention, because this is an SUV, and not a pickup truck, it does not need the mandatory annual "towing inspection"/cash grab in Ontario.

What is this? I've driven trucks in Ontario for 25 yrs, and never heard of it.

I mean the yellow towing sticker for commercial vehicles. I've heard of people getting tickets for towing without the sticker in their private (blue plate!) pick-up trucks. Just because a truck is over a certain weight it gets classed as 'commercial' and would need the sticker regardless of what it's actually used for. I don't know the exact specifics anymore, but there was a big stink about this on the old Solo Ontario forum a few years ago. At the time we figured out SUVs were exempt, but this one would probably be under the weight limit anyway.

Sorry I can't be more specific.

Trucks are black plated in Ontario.

    Edit:

    Found it http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/trucks/regulations/annual.shtml
