    Ok, serious talk time...

Can what's wrong with these be fixed with megasquirt and removing all the factory E36 M3 that isn't needed?

Dammit, just noticed that it's an old ad. Guess i should see if it's still available first, huh?

    Absolutely nothing.

Valve adjustments will still be a pain in the ass and it will need lots of timing belt changes, but berkeley, if that was close to me I'd buy it today.

It's $850. What have you to lose? I had one, it was fun. The seats were fantabulous. Cool dash clock, nice suede headliner, very very comfy.

As I recall, 85s were still carbureted.

I'm glad it's so far away. I'd drive it until the motor dies and install an LS motor.

    Did you buy it?

No... seller hasn't replied yet. I imagine it's gone at this point, and even if he says he still has it, i'm not sure that i could bring myself to buy it.

The MX6 would have to go away i think. And while that would leave me plenty of money to get it to where it would need to get to... i'm not sure if it's a great idea.

I have a friend that has one, that I'm sure he would sell for super cheap.

An old Alfa friend had one for a while. There was a lot more that went wrong with it than a megasquirt could possibly fix. And he only thought Alfa parts were expensive....

I think he ended up selling a liver and kidney to buy a set of gaskets! They wanted some other apendage for piston rings!

I drove it once and liked it ok, but for the money he spent getting back into shape, I could have ran my 944 turbo for about 10 years and had change left over.

You can probably duplicate the experience of owning a BiTurbo by looking at pictures of naked chicks while you hit yourself in the head with a hammer and burn $100 bills.

    Very nearly true.

Chicks are not inherently drawn to the Biturbo like other Italian machinery because a Biturbo looks like the bastard love child of an E30 and a Renault Alliance.

Well.. depends what year. My girlfriend perused the "history" of the Bi-turbo with me and she was lusting over quite a few of them.

The example i posted? Yeah, she didn't think it was particularly good looking.
