I have a bad idea that needs out of my head and those of you with useless Miata parts may be able to help ;) I understand that "near free" does not equal "FREE" but the closer the better as I am kinda hoping this project can be done under a specific dollar amount far lower than a GRM $2009.00 Challenge budget.

I need to locate the following parts:

    • Miata Steering gear (rack and pinion) with sector shaft if possible, near free if possible.

    • Miata Transmission 5 speed or 6 speed, near $100.00 if possible.

    • Miata Driveshaft near free if possible.

    • Miata differential near free if possible, open diff and high mileage is okay

    • Miata Axle shafts to match above differentail near free if possible, torn boots or worn joints okay.

PM me if you have any of these items available. If you need a reason beyond my begging to donate, PM me and I will tell you the plan...

    John.

I was just at Parts Galore today off 8 mile, they have a lil blue Miata there waiting to be gutted. Prices are pretty great there, engine pan to valve cover is $120

Parts Galore is awesome. While we have a lot of funky old imports in yards here, I would LOVE to have their selection of more modern cars, especially the domestics.
