An ancient woman in an SUV hit my AW11, and it has been declared a total loss. Engine, trans, and interior good, everything on the passenger side from the door back is toast, left rear good, front suspension berkeleyed (she pushed us up an embankment), hood, windshield, rear glass, t tops are OK. I can buy it back for $200, but have nowhere to put it, and would really like to see a GRMer put what's left of it to good use. The chassis probably isn't straight, but is rust free, and definitely has more than $200 in parts to offer. It goes to the crusher tomorrow if nobody can save it

My girlfriend and I are fine, if a bit sore. The woman fled the scene after she hit us, and was only caught later when she ran into a more substantial vehicle. Needless to say, I'm a bit unhappy about the whole situation.

If I still had my wagon I would definitely go after that.
Glad to hear you're Ok.

Really sorry to hear about the accident.
You wouldn't happen to have a picture of it, would ya? Is the car in Bethlehem or Swathmore? I'm near Allentown.

I hate stories like this. As others have said though, we're just glad you're ok. If it weren't so far away I'd totally grab it. If they're still in good condition, the front lip & bumper could be resold for near that amount of money.
In fact, I'll go one further - if anyone has the time to grab this PM me because I'm interested in the front lip and lower valences (what the lip is attached to). Somebody could recoup their costs FAST.

Now that I know what an AW11 is, I am sad.

Too bad you are not closer, I'd take a set of wheels and some other little stuff.

And I really wanted one when they were new. I just never bought into the whole chassis code nonsense. You could have just said MR2 and saved a letter.
Or number.

the year is also helpful witning the AW11's, there were several changes form the 86 and earleir to the 87 and later models, suspension, brakes, interior, tail lights, etc
