It's a 5-speed. Neons came with 2 different ones, and this is the 3.55 final gear one, which is "taller" than the other.It has a .72 5th overdrive gear.. at 75 mph, the engine is running @~ 3500rpm. Compare that to my Coupe for sale, has a 3.86/.81 gearing, and at the same speed turns 4500 rpm.
The Sedan gets close to 40mpg if you take it easy on the hiway. It's also gonna need a clutch sometime soon; it does'nt affect anything just tooling arouond town or cruising easy, but if you use heavy throttle once its warmed up, you can feel a bit of slippage.
I'm having trouble with my photobucket; just imagine a 1st gen Neon the same color green as those vests the hiway workees wear.
