That would make one sweet pit bike were it not beyond my rust threshold.

That's probably salvageable. I'd guess that the outer skin is probably aluminum and all the glass is flat.

Drop the body over a T-Bucket ladder frame with a suicide front end. Lots of potential there for $400.

    "Needs restored". Kidding he ain't.

Three wheelers rock. A friend of mine had a Piaggio Ape for a while. His daughter took it to school from time to time...

those old mail trucks, milk trucks, and cushman trucks have a very large following and restored versions are pricey.

Three wheeled cars fall over. Watch Mr. Bean's old videos.

There's a video somewhere on Youtube a friend of mine took at the Afton hillclimb last year.... some character thought it was a good idea to run a 3-wheeled what appeared to be an Isetta (not sure if it was, because I thought those were 4-wheeled, but it looked just like one) Came in hot for the second crossover before the run up the hill, put it on two wheels, and drug the right rear quarter panel across the pavement. I've never seen someone get cheered that loud at autocross before.

I know it's not the same thing, but did anyone else start humming the James bond theam and picture Roger Moore doing a wheel in that thing?

If I'm not mistaken, the Isetta was 4 wheeled, the the two rear wheels were almost touching each other, making it look like a 3 wheeler.

Isettas certainly look three-wheeled, but as DrBoost says, they have dual wheels at the back. Mind you, I've got this nagging feeling that there was a three-wheeled version due to some license restrictions.

Ah, Wikipedia to the rescue. It appears there was a three-wheeled version specifically for the UK as that was classed as a motorcycle and could be driven on a motorcycle only license.

I have a feeling it was that. I'll try and dig up the video when I get home, sadly the work monkeys think I shouldn't be looking at Youtube. Great stuff.

There were both three and four wheeled Isettas. The three wheelers were never imported here

They occasionally turn up on fleabay over here. Want me to keep an eye on that?

Mind you, they seem to attract a serious "70s cool tax" these days.

I think I still have an original Mr. Zip poster, as well as the poster for the original release of the moon landing stamps somewhere. My Grandfather was a postmaster back in the 60's & early 70's.
