Wasn't entirely sure where to post this but since there's money involved we'll put it here. Mods please move if its more appropriate elsewhere.

We currently have an opening for the 24 Hours of Lemons. Please see the website for details. Openings for non-driving mechanics as well. This is ONLY for the Lemons effort, we welcome all to join us on BABE but you will need to bring your own banger for that one, we dont have the space. Of course joining us at GRM would be welcomed as well.

I would have to see closer to if i can do it for sure, but I would be interested in helping out in the pits.

resume includes. a years experience in FSAE, building and maintaining an ESP mustang, assisting a ground up build on a camaro and helping on a CP camaro in progress.

Also, I am a pretty decent cook.

The link also has information on non-driver positions. If you'd like to come along as crew we will be lookinf for a few qualified individuals to report to our "Head Mechanic" Eric.

We are accepting candidates from all over. Obviously someone who is local and can assist with the build will get preference but as of right now everyone is distant so feel free to toss your hat in :) Seems noone lives in NJ

No kidding, here we all are doing stuff like this trying to recapture our youth and the youth wants to be old like us so they can do things like this to recapture their youth.....divide by zero.

Hmm, I wish I was closer, it'd be a fun project to wrench on. While reading your page I pulled up a map...I just drove past your place on the NJ turnpike on Monday night while on a vacation adventure. Wish I would have realized I was so close, it would have been cool to stop by. Doh!!

Total investment thus far is $400 for the donor subaru, most, if not all, of which will easily be recovered by parting it out. If GRM teaches you anything its not about money.

As to the free Wartburg, hey it was an open contest ;)

Many thanks to everyone who has applied, there were some great apps and it was a difficult decision.

It is with much happiness I welcome fellow GRMer and Lemons freak Chris "Mental" Ward to the Misfit Toys team.

For everyone else who applied we may have our 6th spot opening up, when I get confirmation we will review the remaining apps and fill it if anyone is still interested.

great choice! without ever turning a wrench on my $2008 challenge V8 944, mental was absolutely instrumental in our successful completion of the competition. and he was great company for the late-night drinking sessions and the drive from ATL to G'ville and back.

fwiw, mental, the new owner of the V8 944 really liked what you did with the GRM bumper stickers around the hood scoop!
