Thules are nice racks, if you can get the bar for them....didn't they switch to an oval "aero" bar for the newer ones? I know that when I switched generations of corolla for my DD, Thule said they would not sell me new gutter clamps, and that I'd have to buy a whole new rack system.

They're wrong. You can modify existing gutter clamps if you have a band saw, a welder, plastidip, and a stubborn streak.

I believe that they still sell both styles of bars, but I sort of expect that these will be purchased by someone who already has a set of load bars and attachments.

Then this is a VERY good deal. Obviously, I'm not in the market, but someone out in GRM-land out to be.

Woody do you have a part number? Curious if they will fit my wife's Mazda 3.

Thanks

I'm not near them now, but as I recall, I couldn't find any numbers on them. I did buy them new for my 2004 WRX so maybe I can figure them out.

If you're familiar with Thule racks, you'll find that the fit kits are tailored to specific cars. I'm not sure I'd trust it to fit the Mazda.

I think that in this case, the rubber pads wouldn't be an issue, but the metal clamps might be.
