It's possible--I got a FREE Miata a few weeks ago. . .
Of course, it's missing a few important things--such as: doors, seats, trunklid, hood, fenders, bumper. Oh, yeah, and some little things, such as engine and tranny. But it's perfect for my ITA car--it's a southern car, so straight and rust-free! Delivered to my door by some friends. . .

I'm going to pick up a free miata in the next week or so,its apparently complete but with fubar'd starter.I'm sure it's far from pristine but it'll do.

Customers of mine bought an early Miata for nearly free, it was stuck in reverse. They stopped by the store to grab some stuff, and the car was on it's way to a shop down the street to have a tranny put in. I got them the details for sticking a screwdriver into the right place in the tranny, and fixing it. They were rather happy, since they suddenly had a working Miata for less than $400.
