As title says, i want one, please!

    Gotta be a 90-91, don't want an 88-89...

I could be talked into a nice FX16 GTS, but i would rather the 90-91 coupe.

  • June 10, 2010 10:04 p.m. steamcorners Reader

There's a used car lot that went out of business near me that has had a GTS coupe for several years.

Don't know the age, but when I inquired it had 85k miles, and as far as I can tell has only moved about 20 yards in the 3 years since.

If you need me look into it, let me know--it's in Columbus, Oh, btw.

Is that the one on 161 near the Volvo dealer?

If you don't mind driving past and seeing if it's still there, that would be great. Gotta be a 90-91, though, which i know is going to be somewhat hard to find.

If anyone here has one, i would consider a trade in some form with my MX6.

    Booo... SR5. Do not want.

Basically, the 90-91 has the high compression small port 4age, and that's what i'm trying to get.

I believe 89 got the small port. 88 was a large port. My 88 has a 20 valve.

I may have it backwards... all i know is that the 90-91s had a rather sizeable jump in power, and had no TVIS. That's what i'm looking for.

you're looking for the right one.

although i'd rather have an FX16...i miss mine dearly.

there was a Prizm GSI on Philly CL for a while...would have been very tempting if the price wasn't crack pipe.

Cool, good to know that's the right one.

I'm looking for DD/ST duty. The MX6 does one of those well, and one other thing very well, but it's too far molested to be any good for autox use.

Is it a GTS or SR5?

  • June 12, 2010 7:17 p.m. steamcorners Reader

GTS...FYI, I was mistaken on the mileage. It's under 75k! But it's been sitting damn near in the same spot for several years. I tried to buy it about 2 or 3 years ago, but they didn't want to budge on whatever price they were asking.

The closed dealership in question also has a 94 E36 325is that looks pretty decent. I'm going to make some inquiries with the real estate company that is selling the land and see if they can put me in touch with the owner.

If I can pick up an E36 for dirt cheap, my wife might not complain too much..my neighbors, on the other hand. Either way, if I can make any headway, I'll keep you posted...

    Awesome man, i appreciate it.

Hopefully they want peanuts for it since the dealership is closed...

In light of this weekend, i would also accept an MX3 V6.

Ambrosa Motors, they usuall had a couple of interesting things on the lot, too bad they went out of business.

I was driving by the lot today and snapped a few pics on my cell phone.

I didn't get a pic of the interior but it looks pretty much perfect.

    Sweet! It's already flat red!

Is there any contact info anywhere for the owner? That thing looks pretty clean other than the completely shot paint.

For the property listing. I emailed and left vm's for the real estate agents a week or 2 ago, with no response. I'm really wanting the Bimmer, if it can be had cheaply enough...
