I am looking for a rust free 1986-1991 Mazda RX-7 hatchback shell with a clean body. I am willing to pay up to about $1200.

I have a rusted out 1990 GTU that I will be using as a donor car, so all I really need is a clean shell. I am willing to travel 8-10 hours from Cleveland, OH, and would be able to pick it up on my Spring Break (March 15-22).

I have been looking for over a year, and all the Northern cars are either too expensive, or rusted out POS'. I check Craigslist and the RX-7 forums regularly, but the sellers can't be bothered to reply.

I know you said that you check CL, but there are a few here in the Columbus area that might fit the bill.

I emailed a couple Columbus area CL ads last weekend and am still waiting for a response.

I've been looking farther and farther south. They are almost giving them away in Georgia and Florida. I've seen a bunch for $5-700.

I have a decent shell (complete other than 1 front quarter panel) in my garage (5 lug set up etc but no LSD) that you could have for $350.

Have you been checking rx7club.com and rotarycarclub.com classifieds as well?

Also, if you come across one with a blue interior and don't need the interior pieces, would you mind PMing me? Some of the small interior bits in my FC are cracked and I'd rather not pay $30 to Mazdatrix for some piece of plastic.

Do you have any pictures? I just checked Google maps at its just under 16 hours, which might be a stretch since I'll hopefully be borrowing a friends truck. I'll run it by him tomorrow and see if it's feasible.

I have been checking both forums regularly, as well as nopistons. Decent shells go in a few hours, so there's a fair bit of luck involved. The rest are pretty haggard looking or are asking far more than they're worth. I know of an S4 in the local Pull-A-Part, and I think it has a blue interior. I briefly looked at it in December and it had a full interior. What pieces are you looking for?

I've got one that has some minor nose damage, and will be missing the hood to replace that on another car. (Ask Dyintorace ) Otherwise I think it is pretty straight. No engine, four lug roller, but I'll give it to you for what Jensenman gave it to me for- $100 in Charleston, SC. Has all of it's glass, but no sunroof. I'd rather it go back out into the wild instead of the junkyard.
